Visit to the Territory of the Island of Tierra del Fuego. Participating in livestock activities, like: Shearing, labor of the sheep dogs, marking of lambs (earmark) and horseback ridings. Watching of the wild Flora and Fauna with receptions in some Estancias located in the areas of Cerro Sombrero, Filaret Río Chico and channels.

Tasting of roast lamb cooked at the Magellanic style and dishes prepared with products of the countryside and southern seas.

PROGRAM 1 - VACATIONS IN THE ESTANCIA FUEGUINA
(On the base of 4 - 6 people)

Day 1

:

Reception at the airport, transfer to the island of Tierra del Fuego driving by the shore of the Strait of Magellan, visiting the ruins of the first estancia of Magallanes, founded in 1876.

Crossing of the Strait of Magallanes on a ferry at the Primera Angostura, tea-time at the Hostería del Faro (Hostel del Faro), Continental side, arrival to the Estancia, reception with a cocktail, tour inside the estancia, visiting the livestock facilities, dinner, snack and an amusing conversation about history, the uses and customs of the Livestock and Settlement of Magallanes.

Day 2

:

Tour to the field of about 20.0000 Hectares, on a vehicle, visiting the "cattle stations" of the shepherds. Watching of some guanacoes, foxes and abundant birds' fauna.

Day 3

:

Countryside activities: Rodeo (Public exhibition of cattle), shearing and labor with sheep dogs.

Day 4

:

Visit to Cerro Sombrero, inhabited by people who work for the Oil Industry (ENAP), access to the indoor olimpic swimming-pool, solarium, lodging in a neighbour estancia (a linking estancia).

Day 5

:

Tour to the south part of the Tierra del Fuego, visiting the Valle de los Castores (The Beaver's Valley), Lago Blanco and native woods, with amazing landscapes of the Cordillera de Darwin, southern outcropping of the Cordillera de Los Andes.

Back to the Estancia Fueguina.

Day 6

:

Back to Punta Arenas, passing by the Cordón Baquedano, visiting some gold seekers (gold placer). Crossing the Strait of Magellan on board of a Catamarán (Ferry), farewell dinner, lodging, breakfast, transfer to the airport (depending on the flight schedule, it can be exchanged for a day).



PROGRAM 2 - FLY FISHING
(On the base of 4 people)

Day 1

:

Similar to Program 1.

Day 2

:

Transfer to the South of Tierra del Fuego, lunch anf fishing by the Río Chico, arrival to the camp-site in the late afternoon, dinner.

Day 3

:

Downstream Fishing at the Río Grande, breakfast buffet, lunch, box-lunch, cocktail at the end of the trip, visit to the Lago Blanco and Valle de Los Castores (The Beaver's Valley), back to the camp-site, dinner cooked by a specialized chef.

Day 4

:

Upstream Fishing at the Río Grande until the confluence of Río Blanco.

Day 5

:

Back to the Estancia Fueguina, where two options are offered: resting or fishing in streams at the estancia where there is a big number of trouts.

Day 6

:

Breakfast and back to Punta Arenas, with a stop for fishing at Río Oscar, located in an extensive steppe, flowing into the Strait of Magellan.

Farewell dinner and lodging.

Day 7

:

Breakfast, transfer to the airport.



PROGRAM 3 - GEOLOGY AND ANTROPOLOGY
(On the base of 6 people)
This program starts from the estancia located in the depression of Filaret in the very steppe of Tierra del Fuego, with fossils of marine sediments, big dried lakes, small areas of petrified trees which haven't still been scientifically studied.

Visit to the Cerro Tosca, the biggest and oldest native settlement.
Visit to the Sierra Carmen Silva, where there is a place that affords an excellent view of the two oceans.

Visit to the cemetery of the English settlers, of the big old estancias of San Sebastian and Caleta Josefina, next to the Bay San Sebastián in the Ocean, and Bahía Inútil in the Strait of Magellan.

Day 1

:

Visit to the Regional museums and to the regional Research Center called Instituto de la Patagonia, which belongs to the Universidad de Magallanes.

Lodging with breakfast included.

Day 2

:

Crossing the Strait of Magellan to Porvenir (Ferry trip), lunch, visit to the museum, transfer to the estancia passing by the Cordon Baquedano (Gold seekers), staying at the Caleta Josefina, reception with a cocktail, dinner at the estancia in the Filaret area.

Day 3

:

Visit to the Sierra Carmen Silva, Cerro Tosca and petrified trees.

Day 4

:

Tour by the lithic workshops and watching of the fossils located in the depression of Filaret.

Day 5

:

Back to Punta Arenas, crossing the Primera Angostura (Ferry Trip).

Lodging, breakfast and transfer to the airport.



PROGRAM 4 - BIRD WATCHING
(On the base of 6 people)

Day 1

:

Similar to Program 3.

Day 2

:

Crossing the Strait of Magellan to Porvenir (Ferry trip), lunch, visit to the museum. Transfer to the estancia passing by the Cordon Baquedano, visiting the gold seekers. Reception with a cocktail and dinner at the estancia, snack and meeting with the tour guide.

Day 3

:

Bird watching in an underbrush zone and the costal area of the Bahía Lomas, lodging in a neighbour estancia (Linking estancia).

Day 4

:

Bird watching in a semiarid steppe zone, transfer to the campsite in a wood zone.

Day 5

:

Bird watching in the woods and lakes area, back to the base estancia, dinner and lodging.

Day 6

:

Breakfast, the morning will be devoted to the rest and recreation in the park of the estancia, back to Punta Arenas, crossing the Primera Angostura of the Strait of Magellan, watching on the way, the fields populated with ñandúes. Farewell dinner, lodging in 4 stars hotel with breakfast.

Day 7

:

Breakfast and transfer to the airport.
